Love yourself, you are the BEST!

Love yourself, you are the BEST!

Daily look in the mirror

and say “You are the best”

Hey teeeens!!
Lots of love ðŸ’•💕 & flowers, to my best readers.

Have you seen the person in your mirror today, who is the best person 💗, you have been meeting every day!

People these days seem very judgmental through physical looks only. Girls and boys are judged more often based on their body shape, size, color, height, etc. It is observed that people do not appreciate the inner beauty of a person; but judge them only by their looks.

It seems as if BODY SHAMING starts from the house itself. A major role in body shaming a child is played by the parents, followed by relatives and the people who stay around. This directly or indirectly leads to social anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and body dysmorphia.

Terms such as  ‘Fatso’, ‘moti,’ ‘patli,’ ‘kaali,’ ‘chhoti,’ ‘golu,’ ‘baby elephant,’ .... etc., are examples of labels of body shaming. The major reason behind this phenomenon is the unrealistic beauty standards perpetuated by representation in movies, TV serials and advertisements. Additionally, some people even believe that the receptionist, Air-hostess, Heroine should be good looking to attract the viewers / customers.  The most demanding is matrimonial match highly dependent on physical looks and color complexion of skin. When someone faces frequent rejections in their career or love life or marriage prospects due to their body and looks, it can lead to depression, loneliness and heartbreak. Additionally, not receiving equal opportunities, despite of being worthy of, can erode their self confidence and contribute to social anxiety.

While there isn’t a quick fix for body shaming, cultivating a culture that values acceptance, empathy, and understanding can aid in lessening its impact. Few ways to address body shaming include:

1] Daily look into the mirror and say “You’re the BEST” 💗, Love yourself, your complete body is the best gift you have received from God and your parents.

2]  Positive thinking to keep healthy mind in healthy body by proper diet and physical activities. Learn various skills to improve your personality mainly communication .

3] Look at so many Role Models who have reached fame through different skills and profession and not just by physical looks.

4] Families should be the first one to accept the child as she/he is without any labeling.

5] Friends make you feel good, so build good friendship and grow together. Partcipate in various events and competition to make team.

“So please stop body shaming others. It doesn’t look good. Instead, encourage other and spread some positive vibes.”

“END BODY SHAMING, START EMPOWERING.”

And, it stars with you, you love yourself first......... be the best friend of the person in your miror.

Bye dear.......

Menstruation is biological health process

Menstruation Periods are biologically healthy body process,

but yet taboos exist?

 Take rest...

TEENS whisper so that no one can listen.

It is very normal like other biological processes to clean our bodies.

But still it is considered DIRTY.

In our Bhartiya culture, it has been frequently observed that people do not openly discus about menstruation. They always have some kind of hesitation, which force them to whisper only about periods and pads. They believe that menstruating girls are impure, sinful due to which one should not touch them. This type of behavior towards female can lead to feelings of shame, stigma and loneliness.

 Even brandname is Whisper..
There are numerous myths related to menstruation all are listed below with their scientific reasons: -

1]  Menstruating females are not allowed to touch any of the objects in the house, especially cooking in the kitchen.

In ancient period, females used to do all the house chores, all by themselves. Even when they were dying with cramps due to periods, no relief from household work. The elder lady of the house made some amendments like the menstruating female in the house will not work and will take proper rest because of cramps, fatigue etc.

2]  Menstruating females are not allowed to touch/eat pickles. Because people believe that if the menstruating woman touch or eat the pickles, the pickles might get spoiled soon.

Pickles are high in sodium which can contribute to water retention and bloating. If a woman is already experiencing bloating as a symptom of her period, eating pickles might adverse the situation, so better do not eat pickles.

3]  If a female misses her period, she is pregnant.

Late period or missed period do not signify that the female is pregnant. Late period might happen due to some hormonal imbalance like PCOD, PCOS, unhealthy diet or stress.

4]  Periods are costly

Females belonging to rural areas consider sanitary pads to be expensive. Sanitary pads are also available at reasonable prices/free of cost, but these females do not afford spending money disposable pads. They reuse old cloth piece every month, which is why their menstrual hygiene may suffer the most.

5] Menstruating females cannot enter temple and perform pooja in various family and social events.

In Bhartiya culture pooja is a religious activity and religious ritual has denied healthy woman. It is harsh truth of discrimination.

6] During periods one should not take head-bath and wash hairs.

It has nothing to do and taking head bath or washing hairs should be ok.

7] Shopkeepers at the medical store usually gives the sanitary napkins wrapped in newspaper and then covered by black polythene, as no one know, but something confidential that should not be seen by others. Even sanitary pads are kept hidden in house in some corners.

So now its high time that people change their attitude on menstruation myths and accept as normal healthy biological process to clean the female body!

We thank Shreya Ghosal for singing and playing teacher role in this PERIOD SONG to create awareness among teeangers on this health and clean process.

Bone up teens, Now or Never

Bone Up Teens, Now or Never!

Before the end of 19 years, the TEENAGE!💬💭

💬💬💭

💭💭Hey bone-tastic teens!💬💬

Hope your skeleton is holding you upright!

Once teenage-19 years of age is over, the height increase will stop then after.

So, wake up now to increase your height before it stops growing forever.

Tips to keep bones strong and healthy: -

The growth spurt occurs in preteens or teen years, and suddenly your height and overall bone skeleton increases in a year’s time and will result into weight increase.

To keep bones strong and healthy, teenagers should make sure to include plenty of calcium and vitamin D in their diets. Such as milk, yogurt, green leafy veggies, and getting some morning sunlight each day. Regular exercise such as running, jumping, skipping etc. also important for bone strength.

Can you guess what a bone is?

Bone is a remarkable composition of connective tissues and calcium salts. The connective tissues make bones more flexible and resilient, while calcium carbonate and calcium phosphate give rigidity. Together, these elements maintain bone strength. Bones possess significant regenerative capabilities but can also undergo disuse atrophy and overuse hypertrophy. A normal human skeleton consists of 206 bones and can be divided into axial skeleton (80) and appendicular skeleton (126).

The power to increase the length of a bone is concentrated in the cartilaginous epiphyseal plates located near each end of the bone. These plates are situated between the shaft of the bone. Preteens and teenagers may encounter various bone issues because of growth spurts, hormonal imbalance, physical activity.

Hello Teens, take the Oath!!!

“I solemnly swear to munch on cheese and yogurt, dance like nobody’s watching, soak up some sun, and skip smokes and sips, all in the name of strong and sturdy bones!”

Bye. Bye, Teens

Vaginal infection wearing tight underpants panty

Question: I have got fungal infections and my doctor told me to avoid wearing shorts under the skirt. Doctor told me to apply an ointment ( ZOLE, Miconzole Nitrate IP). I cannot avoid wearing shorts as my school uniform is skirt. Is it really necessary to avoid shorts? I am embarrassed to wear skirt without shorts. Is it strictly required to avoid shorts or is there any other alternative to this disease.

Answer: Infection or itching should be reported if it is continuous and severe. Short pant fabric may be selective and if possible made of cotton, instead of synthetic. Crotch area may have design for air circulation through knitted fabric. But innerwear manufacturers are more focused on aesthetic and sex appealing designs rather than on comfort and hygiene. This are our information, but you better consult your doctor, because physical examination and detail discussion can only give you right analysis.
